Before booking an appointment at DreadBay , please read and understand the following.
Booking a consultation.

if you'd like to discuss your hair in detail, you are welcome to book an in-person consultation with me. It is best to come to the studio for consultation especially if you are considering attaching extensions, so that we can discuss all options you have, find the best solution for you and colour-match hair that suits best the look you're going for, etc. If you are unable to get to the studio I can do postal colour-matching. A consultation fee is £10.
Booking an appointment.

in case you are a new client and want to book an appointment, always email me photographs showing the length and fullness of your hair of front and back of your head with hair down, along with specific information on its current length in inches and preferable length and thickness of your future dreads, along with details on the type of dreads you are after (full/ partial/ extensions),

after a consultation (via internet or in-person) we will book an appointment, subject to a non-refundable deposit being paid within 24 hours to secure it,
-
by booking an appointment you understand, accept and agree to the above and below terms and conditions.
Deposit.

in case of a new client, any appointment can be booked subject to a non-refundable deposit being paid within 24 hours to secure the date. If you are unable to pay the deposit within 24 hours the appointment will no longer be reserved for you,

the amount of deposit must be paid onto the account number: 42802229, sort code: 04-00-75,

while paying the deposit, in transfer description, please include the date and time of your appointment,
-
the amount of deposit required will depend on the work being done (50% of estimate service price), but for any work requiring using materials, i.e. synthetic hair, the deposit amount will be materials cost plus £30 to secure your appointment,
-
the amount of deposit will be deducted off the total amount due at the end of the session,
-
deposits are non-refundable/non-transferable and acts as a hold for me and my time,
-
please let me know if you have any financial concerns, or prior engagements at the time of booking that may interfere with your appointment, so we could find a solution satisfying for both sides.
Cancellation policy/ rescheduling.

you must give 72 hours notice to reschedule your appointment or you will be considered a no show and charged 50% of service price for late cancellations (less then 72h) or 100% of the service price (less then 24h). any future appointments will be automatically cancelled or you will not have the possibility to book any new appointment until the above mentioned debt is paid,

you will not be charged if you cancel at least 72 hours before your appointment,

if you arrive more than 15 minutes late you will be charged for the time of delay. Usual hourly rates apply,

if you arrive more than 45 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled. It’s because I need to provide full treatment for next clients. No exeptions!
Other provisions.

Please note that I'm taking appointments at my salon only, but due to extraordinary circumstances I can make an exception and come to your place to take care of your dreadlocks. If that happen, you must cover travel costs, which include the cost of taxi and of the time it takes for me to get to your place according to my hourly rate of £25,

in order for me to work on your hair, it must be clean and dry and free from products such as conditioner, gels, hairspray or other styling products. If your hair is not in a workable condition, you may be required to rebook an appointment at a later date,

in order to make the whole process of maintaining your dreadlocks as easy and pleasurable as it can be, please do not come for an appointment if you are sick. In such case let me know and reschedule a session, or you will be send home,

it’s a good idea to bring some food and drinks with you to the appointment, although I provide a selection of teas, coffee and milk,

due to the size of the salon, you are only allowed 1 other person to accompany you.
Personal information and data protection.

Any information submitted by you (including, but not limited to, your name and e-mail address) will be used for one or more of the following purposes:

administration, marketing and profiling your requests and preferences,

to enable DreadBay providing services and products most relevant to you,

alerting you to product upgrades, special offers or updated information.

DreadBay will keep all information confidential and any information collected by DreadBay is protected by security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information you have given to us, to prevent unauthorized access, as required by Data Protection Acts 1994 and 1998.
